Expertise across the board
Working in a service industry, people and relationships are important. If you don’t know us personally, here is a little bit about us; demonstrating how our experience and expertise can give our 3d Virtual Tours the edge over our competitors.
Jackie, Commercial Director
I’ve been lucky with my career as I’ve had fun. I trained in Hotel Management and specialised in Conference & Banqueting working in venues such as the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. Unfortunately, unsocial hours aren’t great when you have a 4 year old so I decided to set up my own Event Management business.
That was 25 years ago now and Events & Venues is still an industry leader and innovator. This is when I was shown the 3D walkthrough technology by my son and I was hooked. My biggest frustration working in the conference industry has always been the lack of floor plans and decent pictures of meeting spaces and lobby areas – the Matterport software ticks every box of busy event managers.
I personally add an expert eye, making sure we include every space within a venue that will be useful to an event organiser such as lobby space, onsite office, registration areas and catering points. Virtual Tours for venues are aimed at the event planner so who better than an event planner to be involved from start to finish.
I’m helped out in the office by my rescue dog Poppy….. her role is very important with waggy tail encouragement.
Hannah Doyle, Artistic & Photography Director
I first got into photography through my dad, who used a wonderful Pentax film camera. Since then I have pursued my passion gaining a in photography from LCC, University of the Arts. London life was not for me so after completing my degree, I moved back to the South West to start my own business photographing weddings, corporate events, pets and everything in between!
Working with the most cutting edge photographic technology is really exciting and I can’t wait to see where the technology will go; redefining the limitations of interior photography and film.
I personally add photography skills such as lighting placement, framing the 360° shots and editing the stills. I also use my DSLR for separate photography alongside the scan – update your gallery with your food offerings, room set ups or even staff head shots.
When not found with a camera in hand, you can find me playing with Bailey (mine and Ben’s Irish Setter), or covered in dust working on our cottage renovation… then relaxing with a glass of wine in hand!
Kevin, Compliance Director
Having worked for 30 years in the public sector, I retired thinking I’d done my bit for society. After a few months of total boredom I decided (with help from my wife) that I was too young to retire. That was nearly 10 years ago now so I must be enjoying it!
I spent years investigating, producing time lines and ensuring public safety but my hobbies lie with my original passion for art.
I personally add health and safety compliance being fully IOSH trained. Ensuring proceedures comply with business values is important but as our clients are so diverse, I also spend time studying contracts and payment terms for my sins.
My man shed is the perfect escape and can happily spend a few hours painting or building lego figures with my grandchildren.
Ben, Technology Director
Being the technical director means that I should know things about technical stuff… luckily I’m a bit of a geek! I have always been interested in computers and gaming and after leaving education I developed a career in engineering. 10 years later and I am running my own company but never happy to stand still, I am always looking at the latest technology and engineering equipment. 3D modelling and integrating modern surveying practises are the natural progression. It was whilst researching these, that I discovered this 3d scanning and tour technology, I’m really excited to see where this technology leads and look forward to progressing it further.
I personally add the technical production of the scans. I have set strict codes of practise to ensure the quality of our work is consistent. This creates tours that flow smoothly and enable accurate floor plans and 3D models. My construction and surveying background fits perfectly with my attention to detail in the technical process of our 3D tours.
In my free time I love nothing more than relaxing with family, friends and Bailey, mine and Hannah’s Irish Setter puppy – add good food and a nice whiskey for heaven! I love to play computer games and am very into motorbikes… I am a bit of a petrolhead! “
I’m nearly 6 now so middle aged in human years. I spent a short time in Happy Landings a local rescue centre before finding my forever home with Jackie.
I started life with owners that didn’t have much time for me, and a young child that thought I was a toy. I’m part Labrador so will eat anything left for me (or just left within reach) and part lurcher which means I love to run and chase…..
After a good chase I like nothing better than curling up in my basket at work and providing the humans with a nudge here and there if things get stressful…. I try to pass on a calming influence.
